Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 2026
RetroFC does not use advertising cookies and does not use cookies to log you in. It uses local storage for authentication and, only with your consent, an analytics tool to understand how the game is used. This page explains everything in detail.
Authentication: local storage, not cookies
When you log in, your access token is saved in the browser's local memory (local storage), not in a cookie. The token stays on your device until you log out or delete it manually from your browser settings, and it is sent only to our APIs to recognise you as an authenticated user.
Local storage for the real-time connection
Some "live" features (such as the auction or the chat) also use the browser's local storage to remember small technical preferences tied to your game season. None of this data is shared with third parties or used to track you outside the app.
Usage analytics (only with consent)
If you consent via the banner, we use PostHog to understand how the game is used (which screens you visit, where you get stuck, how many people return after their first visit) and to record a portion of sessions, with all text fields masked. If you have an account, PostHog also receives your name and email in order to link usage to the same person between visits. PostHog is configured with servers in the European Union and sets some technical cookies related to this analysis. There is no advertising and the data is not sold. You can change your mind at any time: if you decline, or withdraw consent, the analytics does not start and the related cookies are not used.
For a short period we also use Google Analytics (Google, USA), again only with your consent and only to count page views — no personal data, no session recording.
Technical errors
Regardless of consent, application errors are collected with Sentry (servers in the European Union) solely to identify and fix them. Collection is kept to a minimum: no payment data, no email address, no screen recording.
Manage your consent
Current status of usage analytics: not chosen yet.
How to delete locally stored data
You can delete the token and the data stored locally in your browser at any time through the browser's own settings ("clear browsing data" / "local storage"), or simply by logging out of the app.
